Choosing the Best Canvas Graphics for Display

CanvasImage by DeclanTM via FlickrAnyone who has ever used a photo-editing piece of software, like Photoshop, has probably enjoyed spending time using filters to make standard photographs look like works of art. Over the years, many of us have done this with our own digital photographs, just to see how our pictures would look if it were displayed in a museum or art gallery. As cool as these photo effects are, though, they don't hold a candle to the real canvas graphics that you can order from Camera2Canvas. Our company actually transforms digital photographs into canvas wall art.

Why are canvas graphics in such high demand? Here are just a few reasons:

-    They make great gifts. Getting a special family photo immortalized as a graphic photographic print is a great gift for family members and friends.
-    Canvas photo prints make lovely corporate art. Business establishments always need art on the walls to look their best. Instead of just buying another, run-of-the-mill art print, companies can use photographic digital files of their headquarters, employees or company logos and transform them from camera to canvas, to make extraordinary pieces of corporate art.
-    These types of prints just plain look fantastic. If you have pictures of your kids, or fun family photos that you'd love to display for everyone to see, there's no better way than to turn those pictures into canvas pictures for all to enjoy.

These are just a few of the reasons that canvas photo art is in such high demand. Once you see your own favorite photos printed in ultra-high quality on canvas, you'll see for yourself how great this type of photo art looks.

Do you have a photograph that holds a special place in your heart, or in the collective hearts of your family and friends? Like most of us, you probably do. It’s amazing that these frozen moments in time can speak to us so much. Many of us fondly remember looking through family photographs and reliving those special moments or remembering the special people who have been in our lives.

Wouldn’t it be nice to memorialize those special photographs in a completely unique way? Well, if you get that special picture on a canvas, you will be creating a remarkable work of art out of what used to be a simple photograph. It’s easy to do, and Camera2Canvas makes it all possible.

What if I don’t have a Digital Copy of my Picture?

This is a common question from people who want to get their picture on a canvas, but don’t have a high definition digital copy of the photograph. There’s actually a pretty simple solution that can be used to get that picture uploaded and printed onto a canvas backing. If you have a scanner at home, you can scan the image into your computer and upload the file. And even if you don’t own a scanner, there are many establishments, like FedEx Kinko's that will allow you to rent a scanner to save your special photograph as a digital file.

So even if a particularly special picture isn’t a digital photograph, you can still easily transform it into a canvas masterpiece or keepsake. Scanning does add an extra step to the process, but it is very simple to do. And once you see that picture immortalized on canvas, you’ll realize that it was worth putting the extra effort into the picture to canvas process.

Canvas Sizes for your Canvas Prints

Canvas Prints in Wired Holiday StoreImage by CanvasPop via Flickr
With the ability to easily create camera to canvas images, people can now choose virtually any photograph on their digital cameras or computers, and have those high quality images transformed into impressive canvas prints. The first order of business is always going to be deciding which digital images you want to use. For some people, this will be a no-brainer, as they know exactly which pictures they want to use. Other folks, though, may struggle and decide to get several canvas prints created.

Once the image is picked, though, there is the very important matter of deciding which canvas sizes to use for your photo art. There are a few things to consider when choosing the right sized canvas for your photographic print.

-    The photo itself. Some images look better on larger canvases, while others look better on a smaller canvas. This is really just a matter of taste that every person will have to ultimately decide on their own.

-    The display area. You have to look at the room where you will be displaying the artwork, and decide what size would look best. For a large wall, with no other paintings or photos displayed, a larger canvas image of 30” x 40” may look good. But if you are pressed for real estate on a particular wall, you may decide to go with a smaller, 11” x 14” or 16” x 20” print.

Everyone will want to scope out available wall space prior to ordering their canvas prints. By knowing what you will be working with, in terms of space, you’ll be better prepared to choose the ideal canvas sizes for your entire camera to canvas photographs.
